Welcome to the Armidale Aero Club
The Club is dedicated to promoting and supporting aviation and related social activities for Armidale and district pilots, their families and aviation enthusiasts over the past seventy-five years. The club has approximately 60 members and new members are always welcome. We have both Flying ($100 pa) and Social ($40 pa) memberships available.
The Club owns a well maintained Cessna C172M, that can be flown by all suitably qualified club members for local flights as well as for longer trips away.
A lunchtime barbeque and a pilot proficiency flying day is held at the clubhouse on the third Sunday of every month for members and anyone interested. On odd numbered months this is preceded at 1030 by a members general meeting. Pilots accumulate points at our monthly Proficiency Day towards the 'Pilot of the Year' trophy. The 'Steinhardt Shield' is also awarded for the most improved pilot of the year.
Other club activities include Trivia nights, social functions , group fly-aways and aviation industry related Safety Seminars.
